Musical Encounters of Evian
Six chamber music concerts given in public (very small caliber) at the Grange au Lac, broadcasted live (then replayed), it was also a moment for the participants to present their collections which will be composed of classical music only and will be put on sale.
European Young Talents Festival
Until July 25 – Paris Twenty concerts maintained for the 20th anniversary of the event, with young professional musicians and some illustrious festival “alumni”.

Les Cordes en ballade
From 7 to 19 July – Thirteen towns of Ardèche (07) This itinerant festival is centred on the Summer Academy proposed by the Debussy Quartet. Grouped in “new talent” quartets, the young musicians who will take part in it will go in “musical brigades” to meet all kinds of audiences.

The Musical Hours of Lessay Abbey
From 17 July to 14 August – Lessay (50) Around seven renowned ensembles and two soloists (David Grimal, Sonia Wieder-Atherton), nine concerts are offered in an abbey-church with a capacity of 270 seats, with programmes (mainly baroque) centred on works for small groups.
Festival de Saintes: the 2020 lab
From 18 to 25 July – Saintes (17) Nine concerts filmed behind closed doors in the abbey church, to be listened to on a giant screen and with headphones in binaural sound in the abbey gardens (by reservation), or remotely on France Musique, Mezzo and the regional branches of France 3.
Les Arcs Music Festival
From July 19th to 29th – Bourg-Saint-Maurice, station des Arcs (73) The festival has to cancel its traditional Academy, but maintains concerts (refocused on chamber music), conferences, concerts for young audiences, as well as the residence of the composer Camille Pépin.
The Musical Promenades of the Pays d’Auge
From July 21st to 29th – Mézidon-Canon (14) This “small, unconfined edition” keeps some of its guests and five concerts given at the Canon castle, the last one being reserved for members of the Culture and Heritage association.Free admission, booking required.
Sound Image Festival
From July 23rd to 25th – Four sites in the Auxois (21) Acoustic and electronic sounds, classical and contemporary repertoires, “video mapping” on historical monuments, creation of a work for agricomonium (sound installation inspired by the agricultural world) and escapes to science continue to characterize this “augmented festival”, even in condensed version.
